Risk of doing nothing:
Describe the impact to the business if this project is not selected for implementation.
The conference room becomes wasted space, basically, as equipment is not in place to conduct any meaningful productive meeting with external individuals or other campuses. Strongly urge to modernize the space and equipment. Needs replacement of white board with a glass board, teleconference equipment to align with furnishings (new furniture currently in quote process) that will house the electronics within the table itself. Flat Screen or other means to project information sharing.

Description

As the VP of Workforce Development, Dr. Jean Wihbey has been given specific goals by President Parker to promote our Business, Trade and Industry programs as well as Public Safety programs with our community partners. This conference room was NEVER given the appropriate attention to keep up with the newest technology needs. As it is, for any Skype meetings, mobile equipment and cameras need to be wheeled in for such a meeting, making for a very poor impression among our faculty as well as our external partners. In addition, not having the software and hardware available all the time prevents the 'rehearsing' or trialing of any presentations prior to any given meeting.

Goals

  1. The College will promote and practice operational efficiencies in all areas.

Conference room upgrade to increase space usability.

Risks

  1. Medium Missed Opportunities

The space is impractical and effectively becomes wasted space.
