Step 1: Enroll in two-factor authentication
Click Here to Enroll in and Set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- Enter your email address. (username@palmbeachstate.edu) or (username@my.palmbeachstate.edu)
- Note: If you have multiple Microsoft accounts ( for ext. at other schools) you may need to completely sign out of your account in order to sign into your Palm Beach State Microsoft Account.
- Click on Next.

- You will be redirected to the Palm Beach State sign on page.
- Enter your password.
- Click on Sign in.

- Click on Next.

Step 2: Download and Get Authenticator app from the App Store.
- From the App Store, type in Microsoft Authenticator and click on Get, download and install the app.

- On your PC screen, click on Next.

Step 3: Configure the Microsoft Authenticator app.
- On the Microsoft Authenticator app, select Work or School account.

- Click on OK to allow Authenticator to access the Camera.

- Click on Next on the PC screen.

- Scan the QR Code on the PC screen using Microsoft Authenticator after accessing your Camera.
- Click Next.

- A 6- Digit code will be generated by the Microsoft Authenticator app.

- Enter the 6- Digit code on your PC under Enter Code.

- You will be prompted to approve the notification sent to your phone. This is only to test that you are able to receive notifications.

- Click on Approve on your phone.

- You will receive the message "Notification approved" on your PC screen.
- Click on Next.

Step 4: Configure Phone authentication.
- Enter your phone number.

- You will receive an automated phone call from Microsoft.
- Press on the # Key to authenticate after following the instructions.

- Click on Next after the call is answered.

- Both phone and app authentication methods will be checked once they are set up successfully.

- Click on Done.
Note: If the Mail app on your mobile does not support MFA/2FA, it is recommended to use the Microsoft Outlook app to access your PBSC email.
