Disabling Focused Inbox & Conversations

Focused Inbox is a feature by Microsoft that sorts the emails that Microsoft believes is most important to you into the Focused inbox, and all other emails will show in the Other folder. Focused Inbox is disabled at the org level and users would need to have enabled it themselves manually for it to be on. When it is on, all Palm Beach State College emails will go to the Foucsed inbox and not to the Other folder. There is also a feature called Conversations that converts all email messages incomming and outgoing as a thread in your inbox.

 

Windows:

  1. Launch Outlook.
  2. Select to the View tab.

From the View Tab, deselect show focused inbox and un-check Show As Conversations

  • To disable the Focused inbox, un-check Show Focused Inbox.
  • To disable Conversations, un-check Show as Conversations.
  1. The mailbox will now show all of the emails in one Inbox folder and categories will be disabled.

Mac:

  1. Launch Outlook.
  2. Select the Organize tab.

From

  • To disable the Focused Inbox, deselect Focused Inbox.
  • To disable the Conversations, deselect Conversations.
  1. The mailbox will now show all of the emails in one Inbox folder and categories will be disabled.

Outlook on the Web (OWA):

  • To Disable the Focused Inbox:
  1. Log into your Palm Beach State College email account.
  2. From Inbox, select the Filter dropdown, then uncheck the Show Focused Inbox option.

From Inbox, select the Filter drop down then uncheck Show Focused Inbox

 

  • To disable Conversations:
  1. From your Palm Beach State College email account, select the Filter drop down, select the Show As menu, then select the Messages option.

From inbox, select filter, show as, then select messages
