Logging Into Dragon Naturally Speaking


The Dragon software is a speech recognition tool that can assist with navigating your computer, using speech-to-text, and using voice commands. If you use another computer that has the same software on it, you can login with your credentials and use the software.

To log into the Dragon software:

  1. From the Start Menu, type in Dragon and launch the Dragon desktop app.

  1. Your login name will be your full employee email address and the temporary password would’ve been provided by the Service Desk. If you don’t know or have your temporary password, please contact the Service Desk at 13100. Once entered, click Log in.

On the Dragon Login prompt, type in your full employee email address for the login name, and the default password provided to in your email.


  1. You will now be taken through an interactive tutorial for your microphone setup and for how to use the software features.

  1. Once the training is completed you must change your password from the provided default by clicking Tools then Change Password. Click OK when you're done.

Note: The password used for the Dragon software is not the same as your computer logon password and does not change when you change your computer logon password.


Click tools then change password to go to the password change page Fill out the required fields for the Change Password prompt.


  1. To reset your microphone settings click Settings, Microphone, Reset Audio Calibration.

Click settings, microphone, reset audio calibration to reset your mic configuration.


  1. To go through the interactive tutorial again, click the question mark then click Interactive Tutorial.
