Matching Classes with Positions on Workday - When do you need a job requisition in Workday?

This table has information on how Academic Department personnel can determine if job requisition is required in Workday:

Situation

PantherNet

Workday

An instructor is teaching in one discipline at your campus (e.g., teaching one or more sections of ENC1101, or another course in the same discipline, like ENC1102).

The instructor should be assigned the appropriate INLOAD POSITION* code, and the final contract is run by the Academic Department on the PantherNet side.

If different courses have the same INLOAD POSITION* code, you only need one job in Workday.

The Academic Department needs to create a job requisition in Workday if this is a NEW ADJUNCT. If this instructor has taught the course for your campus since we have started Workday, you do not need another job requisition.  Please note that once the instructor has taught this course/discipline for your campus, new course assignments in this same discipline will work in subsequent terms AT THAT CAMPUS. YOU DO NOT NEED ANOTHER JOB REQUISITION IN WORKDAY.

An instructor is teaching in one discipline at your campus, and now you want the instructor to teach in another discipline (e.g.; teaching one or more sections of ENC1101, and now you want them to teach LIT1000 at your campus).

The literature course, LIT1000,  (a different INLOAD POSITION* code in PantherNet) is assigned in PantherNet and the final contract is run by the Academic Department. If the instructor has never taught in this discipline at your campus, you will need a job requisition on Workday.

The Academic Department needs to create a job requisition in Workday to account for the additional teaching assignment in a different discipline.

An instructor is teaching ENC1101 at the Lake Worth Campus, and you wish to hire this person at Boca Raton to also teach ENC1101.

The instructor should be assigned the appropriate INLOAD POSITION* code on the PantherNet side, and the Academic Department must run the final contract. Because the instructor has not taught English at your campus, you will also need a job requisition in Workday.

The Academic Department needs to create a job requisition in Workday for the position at another campus.   Please note that once HR has this job loaded for the instructor for any term, new assignments in this same discipline will work in subsequent terms AT THAT CAMPUS.

*INLOAD POSITION – In some cases, a new INLOAD POSITION code may need to be created in PantherNet. For example, if the College were to offer a NEW discipline, (such as a new program in Drone Pilot), or if a CAMPUS were offering something they hadn’t offered before (i.e., Sonography at Boca Raton), Human Resources will need to create a NEW INLOAD POSITION CODE on the PantherNet side for you to add to the class and instructor, then run the contract.
