Add the Microsoft Authenticator App for two-factor authentication after you have set up the Phone method

Add the Microsoft Authenticator App as one of your Verification Options AFTER you have set yo your 2FA via the phone method.

STEP 1: In your app store, type in Microsoft Authenticator and click Install, and the app will begin to download onto your phone.

STEP 2: Once the install completes, open the app. 

STEP 3: Accept any terms and conditions, and select the "Work or School Account" option.

STEP 4: You may receive a prompt asking to allow Authenticator to take pictures and record video.  Select to "Allow" to continue.

NOTE: If you press Deny, you will not be able to scan the QR code.

STEP 5: Input your @my.palmbeachstate.edu email address into the field and then select Next.

STEP 6: Input your password and select Sign In.

STEP 7: The system will now call the number you previously set up as a verification method. Answer the phone call and follow the directions provided to verify your access. Once this call has been successfully completed, your phone will be registered successfully, your screen will refresh to confirm this successful registration.
